Obituary of MABEL CAUGHILL

CAUGHILL, Mabel – Surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday September 10, 2023, in her 100^th year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Caughill.  Loving mother of Audrey Francis-Dougherty (and Keith Dougherty), Linda (and Rick) Norman, Dennis (and Janet) Caughill, Joyce (and Dick) Breedyk, Garry (and the late Gail) Caughill.  Cherished Grandma and Mimi Mama of 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Fern (and Ross) Slack, Grace Hall, Jo McBride, Shirley Caughill, Ross (and Marion) Caughill.  Mabel will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Predeceased by son-in-law Grant Francis, great grandson Shayne Tattersall, parents Orval and Ruth Hall, brothers Ivan, Ronald, and Gerald Hall, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law Howard (and Peg), George (and Rose), Lloyd (and Jean), Les (and Nellie) Emery (and Edith) and Allen Caughill, Mavis Findllayson, Dorothy (and Lawrence) Wiedrick.  Mavel was actively involved with Women’s Institute throughout Norfolk County, and Canadian Baptist Women’s Missionary Society.  Mabel was a lifelong member of Tyrrell Baptist Church.  Mabel worked alongside her husband Arthur on their Dairy farm for many years.  Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Wednesday September 13, 2023 from 5-8pm.  Funeral service will be held in the chapel Thursday September 14, 2023 at 11am.  Rev Marty Brown officiating.  Interment Greenwood Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Rural Life Missions or Key Bible Club.
