Obituary of VERA SKOBLENICK

SKOBLENICK, Vera – Passed away peacefully at Cedarwood Village, Simcoe, after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's on Friday March 2, 2018 of Waterford at the age of 88. Beloved wife for 71 years to Joseph Skoblenick. Loving mother of Nick (and Luba), Harry (and Brenda), Allan (and Carol), daughter-in-law Josephine (and the late Steve) Skoblenick. Cherished Baba of Ryan, Aaron (and Danika), Christopher (and Karley), Laura, Alison, Stephanie (and Roger), Kevin (and Stevi), Janice, Jordan, Jill, and great grandchildren Aleks, Eric, Malcolm, and Elliot. Dear sister of Lucy Hudec. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Mike, Bill, Andrew, Harry, and Lorne Kowalchuk, and sister Nettie Bartosek. Vera devoted her life to her family and farm working along side her husband Joe for many years. Friends may be received at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Wednesday March 7, 2018 from 7-9pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish Thursday March 8, 2018 at 11am. Parish Prayers Wednesday at 7pm. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
